Evol and Robert Pearce, 50th wedding
CAMPBELLTOWN couple Evol and Robert Pearce (pictured) celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary this week.
Mr and Mrs Pearce (pictured) exchanged vows and moved to Campbelltown in the mid-1960s and it has been their home ever since.
On Thursday they will remember the life they started together half a century ago.
Ingleburn resident Greg Pearce said his parents had always been proud members of the local community, and loved spending time with their three grandchildren, Elissa, 13, Liam, 10, and Alexandra, 9.
“Dad worked for Southwells Engineering in Camden, picking up and delivering farm machinery, and later installing irrigation systems all around the Macarthur and Liverpool regions, where many farms have now all but disappeared,” Mr Pearce said.
“Mum left work to raise my sister, she was also was a great cake decorator.
“I remember the kitchen full of lace made from icing sugar laid out on baking paper ready for the cakes she was making.”
The couple live in East Campbelltown.
